Canarc operates as both a conventional general contractor (we bid on publicly tendered projects, secure competent subtrades, and manage the construction to completion) and we also work with architects to offer our clients a design & build option.
Canarc Construction has the unique ability to go one step further for clients requiring projects built in remote locations. Working with other Pacific Building Systems companies, we have the skilled tradesmen, facilities, and equipment in house to design and prefabricate the walls, trusses and consolidate the balance of the materials at our plant in Cobble Hill, BC. Projects in remote locations typically have a shortage of skilled labour, materials and good construction weather. By prefabricating and consolidating as much of the project as economically feasible, we can reduce the schedule which allows the crew to be in and out quickly, material stays drier as lockup is achieved faster and there is less jobsite waste and theft.
